Pre Employment Drug Screening

Employers can never be too careful these days. Now I can't really comment on how it was in the 50s, 60, and 70s, because this was before my time. But when it comes to drugs now days, it's best to not make assumptions. When was the last time you went through a contemporary drug screening? For me it was about five years back. I had just acquired a bartending position at a fancy hotel. Human resources instructed me to go and get tested for drugs, immediately. This actually caught me by surprise. They allow you no time whatsoever. The gentleman I was hired by, asked for the results to be in by 5pm that day. I had to hustle. No worries! I immediately had it done and all was good. If you can't do the same thing, then you may as well forget about a decent job. This is the age of drugs and employers are cracking down.

You may or may not agree with me on this one, but I am all for random drug screening. That fact is drugs are terrible for your body and mind. And more importantly, you don't know what you're doing when you're on them. This means that you could very likely endanger others. I'm against that 100 percent. This is why I'm pro drug screening at every workplace in the world. Companies and businesses should take this issue very seriously. They should become more strict regarding random drug screening. Find out who is on the junk and crack down. I want these people in prison. Lock them up and see how well they do with no access to drugs at all. Okay, who's with me on this one? Let me see a show of hands!

Are you prepared for what comes next? Maybe you're in the market for a job this very moment. So, will you pass that routine drug screening with flying colors? Or are you currently using some illegal substance? Hey, here's a clue for you; if you're searching for a job, chances are you're currently unemployed. So why are you using drugs if you don't even have any income? Just food for thought. If you get on the web, you can learn all there is to know about new-age drug screening in the United States.
